“The Raw” is our inaugural release, which first appeared as a 12” vinyl on April 12th of 2005. The hard hitting single finds DJ Dutchmaster collaborating with Saigon, Inspectah Deck and Bekay over Street Orchestra’s bone chilling piano loop. The B side reimagines the A side with a synth heavy, custom tailored remix, courtesy of an up and coming Illmind.

This single was rereleased for Record Store Day 2019 as a limited “blood red” 7-inch, in celebration of the record’s 14th anniversary, which marked the beginning of our storied run of no-nonsense Hip-Hop. 

For this very special rerelease, we paid homage to the pioneering indie label, Delicious Vinyl, in remembrance of their co-founder, Matt Dike, who sadly passed in March 2018. The single’s label artwork includes a clever flip of their iconic logo, while the record itself is pressed on red vinyl to play off the track title.
