“Scarface has the best hip-hop Tiny Desk that we've ever recorded.” — Bobby Carter, NPR Music

Scarface’s acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk performance arrives across all formats this December as part of Rap-A-Lot Records’ ongoing 40 Years campaign. Backed by a live band featuring legendary producer Mike Dean on keys, the Houston icon delivers intimate, reimagined renditions of career-defining classics including “On My Block,” “Mary Jane,” “Smile,” “I Seen a Man Die” and the Geto Boys’ “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” This special release commemorates an unforgettable moment in Scarface’s storied career.

Limited to just 125 copies, Coalmine is pleased to offer an exclusive picture disc modeled after a vintage FM radio, with a tuning dial on Side A and a speaker grille on Side B. It comes in a matte-finished, direct-to-board jacket with a numbered OBI strip featuring liner notes by NPR Music’s Bobby Carter, plus an 8×10” performance photo insert of Face and Mike Dean. Available now for pre-order and expected to ship by Dec 11, just in time for the holidays.
